Mrs. Schmitz's Web Site
I hope you have had a relaxing and refreshing summer. I am looking forward to this year!
I would like to introduce the team for this year! My name is Amy Schmitz and I am the lifeskill’s teacher, as well as the physical health disability teacher for the district. Jenni McDonald is our speech pathologist, Stacey Hess-Norskog is our occupational therapist, Mike Coddington, adaptive phy-ed teacher and Kiirsten Rikers physical therapist. We also have the following para-professionals that are a part of our fabulous team. They are: Aileen Dalton, Tiffany Valle, Lori Love, Heather Tessen, Charlie Curtis.
I graduated from the Minnesota State University and have a licenses in Developmental Disabilities K-12, elementary license K-6 and Physical Health Disability. I am also trained in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.
I enjoy all unique needs of students and each student has a gift to share. I am truly happy to be a part of their education.
I always like to have close communication with the parents and guardians of my students. I believe communication is key to students’ success.
Please call or e-mail me with any concerns or questions you may have.
